Unpack all components and position Wireless System interface within cabling distance of your computer. Plug the interface into an AC outlet and switch on the power.
Attach the Software Security Key directly to the parallel port (LPT1) on your computer. Your printer cable can then attach to the open connector on the key.
Attach the serial cable from the Wireless System interface. A serial cable adaptor is needed for computers that have a 9-pin serial port connection.
Attach the antennas to the Wireless System Interface to the selected serial port (e.g. COM:1) on your computer.
Distribute keypads in the meeting room, one for each interactive participant. Test keypad operation and data reception by running the tester.exe utility, found in the "\Program Files\Audience Response Systems, Inc\PowerPoll" directory. Tester displays a map of keypad addresses, and shows the last number pressed on each keypad.
