Guidelines for Submitting Audience Polling
Questions
- Questions should be in a multiple-choice format. Choices may
be numbered from 1 to 10, lettered A to E, or simply 'Yes' or
'No'. Correct choices, if any, should be clearly indicated, preferably
by an asterisk next to the choice.
- Questions and choices should be stated as clearly and succinctly
as possible, remember, the more words that are displayed on a
screen, the smaller they must be and the harder it will be for
the audience to read them.
- ARS displays can highlight specific words on screen using bold,
italic, underline, and/or a unique highlight color. Superscripting
and subscripting are supported.
- Use of normal upper and lower case conventions is encouraged,
as it makes the questions more readable for the audience. To assure
the correctness and appropriateness of all text displayed, ARS
will honor upper and lower case as submitted.
- Questions should be submitted in the order they are to be used
wherever possible. Inclusion of an event agenda with the questions
is very helpful.
- Questions should be submitted to ARS two weeks prior to your
event date, to allow for their accurate and efficient entry, display
formatting, proofing, and delivery to your site event.
- Non-polling (purely information) displays are allowed; however,
the ARS system is not intended to be a replacement for normal
slide or videographic presentation media, and its excessive use
as such may incur additional charges.
- To serve you more effectively and efficiently, ARS asks that
questions be submitted in printed or typewritten form. Please
do not send handwritten originals, or multiple generation faxes.
- We prefer to accept questions via word document (.doc) or ASCII
text (.txt) for importing into our software. This will help eliminate
some typographical errors. Questions may be sent on diskette or
forwarded to our Production Department via e-mail.
- ARS would like to help you make your presentations look as
professional as possible. If you are using any other slide, presentation
support, logos or specific color schemes, we would like to get
a copy of that information and/or files. We are using bitmap (.bmp)
images in a 1024 x 768, 32 bit color format. We can accept a number
of different formats (TGA, GIF, TIF, etc.) and convert the image
to the desired format for our program. If you have materials to
contribute, please forward them to us. Graphic images can be e-mailed
directly to our graphic artist at graphics@audienceresponse.com.
Please include the job number as a reference.
Following entry or importing into our system, ARS proofs all questions
for typographical errors against the originals provided. We are
happy to send a printed or data copy of the questions to you for
additional grammatical and content proofing. ARS also encourages
you to schedule a rehearsal prior to beginning the meeting for one
final review of the questions on screen.
Thank you for letting ARS serve
your Audience Polling needs!
